and so we don't read Politico. Except when a blog that we do follow links to an article we like. Such as. The fable, by the way, could well be the oldest example of HIGHpocrisy there is, since we're already dating back to Greek times when our slogan itself was invented. Ahh, the classics.
2nd btw of the day, we tweeted @TheDailyShow to ask when the clown prience reibus[tm] gets his muppet look-alike. Has there been one? Did we miss it?

Laundry
It's close enough to the start of Fall, so enjoy this little bit of irony in lieu of future HIGHpocrisy, coming soon to a ghost town near you.
No, the title has nothing to do with it. With issues like the debt ceiling, funding the gov't and/or the ACA, immigration reform, and avoiding war in the Middle East, it's about the laundry list on the horizon of the hell-scape. Like I said, enjoy.

new fab five (-teen)
To mark the occasion of our 5-year anniversary, we're changing the blog roll. Slightly. Gone is FDL. In flux is Nate Silver's 538, until he launches at ESPN (no new content via the temporary link anyway). Adding Salon and Mother Jones, because, it's not quite the 7-year itch, so why not?
Read up.

Some kinda record
1st of all, great post by the Nobel prize-winner.
2nd, I guess he has to say that last line, 'reasonable' may not exist? Truth is, it does not exist. But hey, point taken, and better now than later.
Which has me wondering, how do we keep from repeating headers with each new entry, without having to resort to scrolling the entire list of archives? Also, is J even aware we're coming up on the 5-year anniversary of this little venture? 5 years, and no growth in traffic, no discovery, no star-bursts. That has to be some kinda record.

Swing and a miss 2
Lest we be judged (and by 'we', we really mean 'they'): Nobel prize-winner says it's beyond hypocrisy ! That's not the name of our new website or anything, we just wanted to give it a quick mention. We could have used a poster of Ryan Braun instead, who knows?

Which one?
What sounds better to describe this week's SCOTUS brand of Highpocrisy? Two of the most far-reaching and meaningful decisions in our history, certainly in our lifetime: the DOMA and VRA cases, each cutting in opposite directions. Have we been Scalia'd? Scotusized? Can we add a new term to the glossay below, and if so, should we go with either of those or do you have another suggestion? It's still early, so let us know.

Swing and a miss
Hey since we're in the middle of the amateur baseball draft, how's about a nice wholesome slice of HIGHpocrisy, going down as easy as apple pie and our national past-time.
